Start with the smallest missing link. Most School Admin issues are caused by an account, academic term, section assignment, subject allocation, or schedule entry that has not been created or connected yet.

Troubleshooting
A teacher cannot see a class
Check that the correct academic year and term are active, the teacher is assigned to the section, and the subject allocation names that teacher for the term.
A student is missing from a class list
Check that the student account exists, is active, and is assigned to the correct section. Review the active term before moving the student again.
A lesson is missing from the timetable
Confirm the subject allocation exists for the right section and term, then confirm the time slot and schedule entry exist. Check the room only after those records are correct.
A parent cannot see a child's records
Check that the parent and student accounts are active and that the family relationship links the correct two people. Do not share records through another person's account.
A user sees an access-denied message
Check the person's active role and its resource, action, and scope permissions. If the job requires a different access pattern, create or adjust a carefully tested custom role.
A CSV import reports errors
Download a fresh template, verify required headers and email values, correct only the rows reported, and test the corrected file before importing the full list.
Glossary
- Active academic year / term: the calendar context used for current school activity.
- Section: a class group of students and teachers.
- Enrollment: a student's placement in a section for a term.
- Subject allocation: a subject taught to a section by a teacher in a term.
- Scope: the range of records a permission applies to: whole school, classroom, or self.
- Grade scale: the rule that converts an achieved result to a label or value.
